The Ultimate Hockey & Adventure Camp

A Parent’s Guide to Tanuga Hockey Camp

Tanuga Hockey Camp is where hockey players get to be kids again. Away from the pressure of tryouts and long seasons, campers find a place to grow as players and as people. They build confidence, make new friends, and strengthen their love for the game while surrounded by nature, great coaches, and teammates who share the same passion.

Tanuga Hockey is more than a hockey camp. It is a true overnight experience that blends focused hockey development with the freedom and fun of summer camp. Campers live in cabins, skate hard, swim, climb, laugh, and spend their evenings enjoying team challenges, skit and theme nights, or a s’more by the fire. It is the best of both worlds — growth, adventure, and memories that last a lifetime. Our goal is simple: every camper leaves as a better player and a more confident person.

What Your Player Gets

  • Two hours of daily on-ice skill work (no on-ice on check-in day)

  • Power Shooting on our outdoor roller rink (wristshot, snapshot, slapshot, backhand)

  • Small-area games and hockey IQ work

  • Classic Camp Tanuga activities on 150 acres of woods and lakefront

  • A screen-free setting, real friends, and time outdoors

Daily Rhythm (Times Vary)

Each day blends on-ice, Power Shooting, and camp activities. Players skate, train, and spend time outside. Evenings bring team challenges, themed nights, talent shows, and campfires—a chance to relax, laugh, and be part of something bigger. See sample schedule here.

Coaching and Groups

Our experienced coaches lead clear, high-energy sessions. We use microphones and music to keep our on-ice sessions engaging, upbeat, and fun. Players are grouped by age and skill so everyone can play at a competitive pace and have fun while improving.

Safety and Supervision

Campers live in age and gender appropriate cabins with trained, background-checked staff.
A full-time nurse is on-site in our infirmary to deliver daily medications, treat injuries, or simply be a friendly face.
Waterfront and activity areas run with certified staff, provided life jackets, and clear safety rules.
